Living Islam in America - Graduation Season - Pictures

Living Islam in America – Graduation Season – Pictures

American Muslim ‘Leaders’ talk about being Muslim in America, while they usually really mean to discuss how to compromise Islam for the sake of American culture.

The Naksibendi Tarikat gives energy on the other hand to disregard social norms which are formed on the basis of Batil, for the sake of Islam. The Way of the Holy Prophet (AS) gives you focus to complete your goals, to master the system offered by the West, and to say, “Now we know what you offer, now you must see what it is Islam offers. I choose Islam.”

MashAllah that these graduates worked hard to be able to discard Christian and secular symbolism for Islam’s sake and wore full sunnah clothing to represent their love of Islam.

Although fitnah has been made about Sheikh Abdul Kerim and his stance on western education, murids are counted from among the graduates in universities such as Columbia University, Rutgers University, University of Maryland, and Stony Brook. MashAllah.

I thanked Allah for having given me victory over my ego (nafs) and said: “O my nafs, by the power of Him who gave you a nature inclined to rebellion and made you susceptible to all kinds of blameworthy traits, I swear I shall not leave you in peace until you live up to the teachings of the Book of Allah and the Way of the Prophet (AS)”

S. Hisham Kabbani Apologizes to
Sheykh Abdul Kerim al-Kibrisi

May 3, 2010  |  Thoughts  |  1 Comment

Hani, a murid associated with Michigan sent me this letter with excerpts of an apology. I did not take these excerpts and ‘cut and paste’, so that much is for everyone to know.

The letter:

audhu bil-Lahi min ash-Shaytan ar-RAJEEM

Bismillah hir-Rahman ir-Raheem

Yursil Bhai:
as-Salaamu ‘alaykum, wa rahmatullahi, wa barakatuhu!

You have one more sohbet to watch. It is nearly 1 hour and 20 minutes long.

Within it, towards the end, Sayyidi Sheykh Hisham is addressing Sheyh AbdelKerim directly again. This time it is not from Michigan but from Singapore. He is publicly giving him an apology and an invitation. View the whole sohbet here please:

http://www.sufilive.com/Suhbah_1-2386.html

I’ve put a few excerpts below, but I strongly recommend you shut out all distractions while watching this video in its entirety please. The full power of the suhba cannot be appreciated if it is not viewed in its entirety.

Excerpts:

“I am not saying this with disrespect to any of the khalifas. No, I am saying with love to you. Personally, Sheykh AbdelKarim. Because I love you and I respect you since New York. We were together, you remember. And I visited you in your restaurant in Brooklyn. You remember that. And I came to your house…we ate bread and salt. But:

وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَى تَنفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
“And remind, for reminding profits the believers.” Qur’an 51:55

I am not an enemy to you. No, I am a brother and might be lower than you. No problem. I respect you, I love you, but it’s good to remind people. I am older than you. You respect my age if nothing else. I gave you respect now.

You give respect. And I am not far, you know my way. You used to come every time. Every one month, two months, you used to visit. You can come. You are most welcome! You and your group. “

“So my humble apology to all of you if I said something that you were not happy with.
But don’t cut and paste what I am saying. Keep the lecture from beginning to end if you want to keep it, not cutting and pasting. Because [when you are] cutting and pasting you are responsible in front of Allah & His Prophet and in front of Awliyullah that you did a confusion. I am clearing the confusion.”

….

“We cannot see something that would be difficult on our hearts. So out of that I spoke what I spoke. May Allah Subhana wa Ta’Ala forgive us and forgive everyone and may Allah Subhana wa Ta’Ala grant us the power to say sorry. We say sorry. Don’t cut and paste. You can say sorry and come and visit. I am older than you. You come as you usually used to come. wa min Allahi tawfiq bi hurmatil Faitha.

This is for everyone. That’s not for a particular person. For me, for them, for everyone! May Allah swt benefit us from this and support us and bless us. Bi hurmatil Habib bi hurmatil Fatiha.

Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammadin Nabi al-Ummi wa ‘ala Alihi wa Sahbihi wa Salli

Naqshbandi-Kabbani City (Fenton, Michigan) Associated to Video Release Claiming Murder of Sheikh Maulana Nazim’s Wife

April 26, 2010  |  Thoughts  |  20 Comments

Before they attacked Seyh Abdul Kerim Kibrisi, people in Michigan (I have their IP addresses and it goes to Fenton, Michigan), posted the following video. Fenton, Michigan just happens to be the HQ of Naqshbandi Haqqani in Michigan.

So, “some people” in Fenton, MI hacked Sheykh Maulana Nazim’s website saltanat.org and put the following video up. The video was put up 3 weeks ago (you can confirm this by going to youtube).

Livestream confirmed the hack.

Two days later Hisham Kabbani released a talk calling Nabil and Riham “Abu Lahab and Umm Lahab in Cyprus” (referring to the people depicted in this video, who are very close to Maulana in the household) … One day later they called Seyh Abdul Kerim and his wife “Abu Lahab and Umm Lahab in New York”.

Now they complain on sufilive.com (click on broadcast video) of saltanat.org (which is executed in part by Nabil and Riham, but under Sheykh Maulana Nazim’s direct authority).

This video was cross posted into facebook groups, yahoo groups and mailing lists.

Lesson is: if your Sheykh teaches you the manners of calling people Abu Lahab and Umm Lahab, the murids will certainly learn from you.

Notice the similar verbage of “conscience”, “pills”, and “drugs” to the attack on Seyh Abdul Kerim.

One Murid of Sheykh Maulana Nazim Responds to S. Hisham Kabbani

One murid of Sheykh Maulana Nazim writes a refutation of Hisham Kabbani’s words

You can find the full refutation here:

http://defendingthetruth.wordpress.com/

If you are truly an Aalim, kindly respond to the following refutations. Since you like Arabic so much, let me borrow a phrase from Imam al-Ghazali and call this the Tahafut al-Kabbani.

(1) You said in your talk: “That’s why it is very important to know that a representative always has to keep the highest respect for his Sheykh to give a good reputation for his Sheykh through his actions. Not to give a bad reputation for his Sheykh through his bad actions!”

O Hisham Kabbani! Do you have a memory? Do you have a sense of history? Wallahi, there is not a single man who walks and breathes on the face of this earth who has done more damage, more disgrace, and more shamefulness to the name of Sultan al-Awliya than you. No Naqshbandi Haqqani can walk into any masjid in America because of you. No Naqshbandi Haqqani can show their face at ISNA Conference because of you. You are meeting with the biggest Sheytans, Dick Cheney and George Bush. Okay, even if you are saying that you have to meet them, you did not refute them! You did not rebuke them for killing Muslims in Afghanistan! You did not rebuke them for killing Muslims in Iraq! You just smile and take Happy Ramadan pictures with them. Now, in the U.K., you are making the Sufi Muslim Council which is stepping on the toes of the work that Muslims have done for decades in that country. In the Arab countries, people are taking you for a joke.

Allah’s Pleasure in Pronounciation of Arabic? – Answered in the story of Habib ibn Muhammad al-Ajami al-Basri (R)

April 25, 2010  |  Thoughts  |  9 Comments

Habib ibn Muhammad al-Ajami al-Basri [d.120H/737CE] ‘alayhi al-rahmah wa’l-ridwan

Following from Kashf- al-Mahjub “Unveiling of the Enshrouded” by ‘ALI UTHMAN AL-HUJWIRI (Data Sahib) [Source: Kashf al-Mahjub]

His [al-Ajami] conversion (tawbat) was begun by Hasan of Basra. At first he was a usurer and committed all sorts of wickedness, but Allah gave him a sincere repentance, and he learned from Hasan something of the theory and practice of religion. His native tongue was Persian (‘ajami) and he could not speak Arabic correctly.

Shrine of Habib al-Ajami

One evening Hasan of Basra passed by the door of his cell. Habib had uttered the call to prayer and was standing, engaged in devotion. Hasan came in, but would not pray under his leadership, because Habib was unable to speak Arabic fluently or recite the Qur’an correctly. The same night, Hasan dreamed that he saw Allah and said to Him: “O Lord, wherein does Thy good pleasure consist?” and that Allah answered: “O Hasan, you found My good pleasure, but did not know its value: if yester-night you had said your prayers after Habib, and if the rightness of his intention had restrained you from taking offense at his pronunciation, I should have been well pleased with you.”

It is common knowledge among Sufis that when Hasan of Basra fled from Hajjaj he entered the cell of Habib. The soldiers came and said to Habib: “Have you seen Hasan anywhere?” Habib said: “Yes.” “Where is he?” “He is in my cell.” They went into the cell, but saw no one there. Thinking that Habib was making fun of them, they abused him and called him a liar. He swore that he had spoken the truth. They returned twice and thrice, but found no one, and at last departed. Hasan immediately came out and said to Habib: “I know it was owing to thy benedictions that Allah did not discover me to these wicked men, but why didst thou tell them I was here?” Habib replied: “O Master, it was not on account of my benedictions that they failed to see thee, but through the blessedness of my speaking the truth. Had I told a lie, we both should have been shamed.”

Habib was asked: “With what thing is Allah pleased?” He answered: “With a heart which is not sullied by hypocrisy,” because hypocrisy (nifaq) is the opposite of concord (wifaq), and the state of being well pleased (rida) is the essence of concord. There is no connection between hypocrisy and love, and love subsists in the state of being well pleased (with whatever is decreed by Allah ). Therefore acquiescence (rida) is a characteristic of Allah’s friends, while hypocrisy is a characteristic of His enemies. This is a very important matter. I will explain it in another place.

Habib al-Ajami passed away in 120 after Hijri, his shrine is in Baghdad.
