I don’t like that the homepage mentions my name, but oh well.

Some of the best resources on traditional Islam are already linked including SunniPath, Dr. Godlas’s website, Masud.co.uk, etc. I just started putting in some blogs including Sister Umm Zaid’s great blog and my small insignificant one ;).

This search can be added to our blogs pretty easily as well, if you are interested send a note my way!

It can also be integrated into side-bars pretty inconspiculously, if it is used that way it eliminates any reference to me

Just ordered the Edirol R-09 Digital Recorder. This is supposed to be an excellent recorder, and will hopefully allow me to record lectures and dhikr like never before. One of the main selling points is its size to sound quality ratio. Although professional audio folk need to use external microphones, I am pretty excited from what I heard of the quality from the internal mic.

One of the main things is it is a stereo microphone, which is not an advanced feature at all, but is completely lacking from the n0rmal dictaphone-type devices most people use to record such things.

It will be excellent to record the Naqshbandi dhikr this Friday.

(Note R-09 is not released yet, it is on order but in the meantime I am using the Edirol R-1)

I wonder if anyone is using Wordpress 2.0 and whether it is worth it… I spent most of Sunday making customizing the al-Baz website for anti-spam in the guestbook. Its been killing me! I honestly get about half an hour to write something, and the more and more gets used up by spam the less time I have to write anything of any volume.
