Subhanallah, while I’m not exactly excited by the Fatwa, it’s amazing that we immediately jump on the Sheikh and slander his name. If you have proof, produce it. If you don’t, pray for him and give him the benefit of the doubt. Jesus, guys, have some respect for the Ulamaa’, even if we are suspicious of Azhar (and for good reason).

It goes to show the sad shape Al-Azhar is in. When its head is appointed by a tyrannical government – or rather tyrannical Autocrat – the barakah dissipates and the Muslims suffer.

Subhan Allah. This is rather disgraceful. Hakeem Olajuwan fasted during Ramadan while playing basketball games and training daily. Even high school American football players fast during intensive training. I realize that the players are under contract, but perhaps they should've fought harder to change the dunyawi contract rather than going the easy route and getting a rukhsa. May Allah guide them back to the deen.
