The Mahdi will be concealed until the time comes, and when the promised moment comes, then he will appear. His martyrs are the most auspicious of martyrs, and the people he trusts, his viziers, are the most reliable of the trustworthy.
Allah has appointed a group of people to be his viziers. Allah has concealed these people. I have learned these truths by discovery and vigilance. In addition, I have witnessed things Allah foresees for His servants. These will act at the forefront. In the same way that the leading companions kept their world to Allah, so these people will be confirmation of those words. In addition, they will not be Arabs, but foreigners. Although they are not Arabs, they will speak no other language than Arabic. They will have a protector who is not of their kind, who has never opposed Allah in any time. He will be the purest and most genuine of viziers.
In particular, these viziers will be very well-informed on all subjects. But the Mahdi himself… he will be a man of politics in the true sense. Another of these viziers’ distinguishing features is that they are never defeated on the field of battle. For example, they will capture the city of the Greeks, Istanbul, solely by reciting the takbir. At the first takbir one-third of the ramparts will collapse, at the second, another third will collapse, and at the third takbir the remaining walls will fall down. Thus they will capture the city without the sword and using no weapons. This is the truth itself, the brother of victory.
The Mahdi’s viziers will require nine things in order to perform their duties in the best way, no fewer. These things are:
Sharp sight,
To immediately recognise the divine word,
To know how to interpret what comes from Allah,
To know the ranks and stations of those in positions of command,
To know mercy at times of wrath,
To know the ruler’s needs and other things,
To know the connections between matters,
To know the proper bounds when meeting people’s needs,
To know those hidden things required in their own times.
(“Al-Futuhat al-Makkiyya”, 366, Vol. 3, p. 327- 328)

Assalamu Aleikum,
About capturing Istanbul, this did already happen by the turks? Or do you have an other interpretation? And this happened with weapons?
BismillahirRahmanriRahim
It is known that Istanbul will be conquered twice, from this hadith and others:
BismillahirRahmanirRahim
Rome is to be conquered again, as is Istanbul. Istanbul is to be taken from the secular Turks who oppose Islam and brought under the reign of Shariat by Mahdi (AS).
What is required and what can one do to be of help to mahdi (as) as i really want to be of service to him inshallah is there anything i can do or any steps which i can inshallah be accepted to be of service to him?
Asalamualaikam

What’s the difference between the Mahdi of the Shias and the Imam Mahdi (as), which some mureeds believe is an occultation since the 40s?
Is this Mahdi the successor of Sheikh Nazim?
Do you personally know anybody who has met him physically?
Is he the ‘Mahdi of the Sword?’
Dear Uzma, The Mehdi is the Mehdi. Yes, he is the “Mehdi of the sword” in-so-much as he will establish justice thru the earth. Yes, there are people who have met him physically.

This sohbet may have relationship with your question:
BE PREPARED FOR MAHDI (as):
http://www.naksibendi.org/sohbets/1426-Shawwal-27_20051129_SAK_Be_Prepared_for_Mehdi.htm
There are numerous other words from Shaykh Effendi related also to your question. Insha’Allah you may find it in his sohbets.

Nureddin
i have read about 20 something ahl as sunnah scholars of past believe in the “Shi’a” Mahdi (AS) as in they believe Imam Askari(AS) had a son and his son is Mahdi (AS). I have read Ibn al Arabi was one of the ahl as sunnah scholars that believed that Imam Hasan al Askar’s son is the prophesized mahdi (AS).
whether you believe he has been in occultation for hundreds of years (as the shi’a do), in the 1940′s(as some sunnis do) or yet to be born (as the majority of sunnis do) what matters is we recognize him and unite under the shahada together. to pray side by side and fight by side. that is the Ummah.
@ SuffiSoul…Ameen…this disagreement is one of the things that is delaying his appearence
BismillahirRahmanirRaheem
Sufisoul,
We will have to discuss this again on Thursday that Mahdi (as) is not hiding in a well!
I think the shia fabricated tales again about Imam Sharani rah and Ibn Arabi qs saying they have quoted that Mahdi as is the son of Imam Hassan Askari. Do you have any references?
An interesting link though ..
http://sidratulmuntaha786.wordpress.com/2010/01/28/wuzara-of-saydina-mahdi-as/
Dear Brother Suleyman,
Neither do the Shia’s believe that the Mahdi is hiding in a well. Do you really think that they believe this, or are you being funny?
BismillahirRahmanirRaheem
It’s a joke for SufiSoul (he is an ex shia). We usually meet at Naksibendi Zikr every thursday night.
Does anybody have any answers to the questions i asked?
Sheikh Abdul Karim is called ‘Sahibul-Saif.’
Isn’t this also one of the titles of the Mahdi (as)?
BismillahirRahmanirRahim
Mahdi (AS) has many titles, all titles you know will become his.
Uzma,
There is something about the way you ask these questions that makes me think you are not sincere or up to something. Just come out and say what you’re thinking – are you asking whether the murids of Sheikh Abdul Kerim think Sheikh Abdul Kerim is the Mahdi?
Yes or No?
Peace4you, I am somewhat new to this site. While I have visited B4, I have never engaged in comments. However, and I hope that I am just mis-reading you, but I don’t understand why you would accuse someone of insincerity…
Bismillahir Rahmaanir Rahiim
Asalaamu alaikum.
As a newbie to the site, please let me welome you. However, as a newbie to the site, you probably are not aware of ongoing convos and history of commentors. Some people do come here (some quite recently only) to sow confusion under the guise of “sincere” questions. Some people come here and ask a lot of questions, demand that their questions be answered as fast as they desire, and then do not accept the answers they are given. Sometimes their questions are somewhat derailing from the real intent of the post at hand. There is a certain tone that comes thru in some people’s questions, especially when you’ve had a chance to read their repeated questions, a certain argumentativeness or mockery. If other commentors recognize it for what it is and call it out, can you really blame them? There are certain aspects of adab in regards to where and how a sincere seeker will ask for further information or clarification. And lately, it has become very rare to see any of that adab here.

Sheykh Abdul Kerim Effendi is not the prophecised Mahdi. He knows many that are claiming publicly that for themselves and he says they are in some degree in illusions and dellusions.
The real prophecised Mahdi is the one who will come to give power back to the sincere group of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah. The shia Mahdi is invented.
Also, what would be the benefit for you to know if Mahdi (as) will be the successor of Maulana Shaykh Nazim or to know if someone has met him physically? Is it just satisfying some curiosity? I guess it is that. And Sheykh Effendi strongly teaches us not to equate curiosity neither with the way of knowledge nor with sincere intention.
Salams
Nureddin
Brother Nureddin, I have just one question. Is it Sheik Effendi’s opinion that the Mehdi of the Shia’s in invented? Or is this your opinion. This is a sincere question.
Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim
As salam alaikum Safiyyah
It is both Maulana’s and Sheykh Effendi’s knowledge on this.
Absolutely nothing wrong with curiousity!
Here are some synonyms for curious: inquiring, inquisitive, interested, questioning, searching…etc.
All signs of intelligence and a fine MIND, but then again see what i said earlier about the mind.
Do you have to be physically fit aswell as spriritually fit to be at the time of Mahdi alayhis salaam and stand with him, don’t get me wrong im a weak one, i doubt someone like me will stand next to him, but the least you could do is try and leave the rest to Allah right?
Assalamu Aleikum,
I have read many times that Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and Grandshaykh had physically met the Mahdi in Mecca somewhere in the sixties and did bayat with some sincere ones. How do I have to understand this? Or have I misunderstood.
Many who think they’re following the Mahdi will actually be following the anti-christ.Most of the scholars and those following them will be against the Mahdi. The Mahdi will open so much new and startling knowledge that most people will reject him.Even a third of his army will desert him.
Jacob: Nice words, little substance. Mahdi (AS) will lead an army that will conquer the world of Disbelief and turn it back into a world of Belief. He will fight a very physical war against the anti-Christ. Consciousness? Maybe. Physical warfare? Definitely. Spiritual transformation? Most assuredly.
I Love the new format, Mash’Allah
thanks!
i think a Brass Crescent for Best Design this year, yes?
BismillahirRahmanirRahim
Having a vague and broad injunction against a Muslim saints work sounds like a good way to squelch real knowledge. Some aspects of Shaykh al-Akbar (R) work fit just fine into peoples minds, the things meant for high saints I don’t post.
Have a good opinion of my intentions, inshaAllah.
1. Ibn Arabi(r) himself has forbidden the layman to read his works.
2. Maulana has also forbidden such types of work to be read, unless one is at a high level of understanding.
3. Ditto, the excerpt you quoted almost definitely, the people here have misunderstand.
very strong assertions. yet they seem complete unfounded. unilateral statement banning the posting of any of Shaykh al Akbar’s (R) words? Seyh Mevlana quotes from him in many sohbets, and has directed people to certain book titles. Your first assertion would be a self-canceling directive.
1) proof?
2) proof?
3) proof? People are raising other topics about Mehdi (AS), nothing about the viziers or the qualities they will have (the subject of this excerpt). Their questions are incidental, and would have been raised if I posted a hadith about Imam Mahdi (AS).
It was nice while it lasted uzma.

“He said: Lo! thou canst not bear with me.”

Hu knows. I never won, but since i’ve seen whats happened to the big winners, i’m actually glad
winning in a category like best design is also not really worth much imho.
Ha ha, i don’t think much of the awards anyway, honestly. i always nominate people, and when it comes to voting, i only vote in the categories where i really do like someone’s blog that is up. But yeah… um… personally i don’t think it says much at all about the Muslim online “community” when i see who most of the winners end up being. Nor do i think winning in any category is worth much at all or means anything. i do sincerely think you have the best design though.
yup. good bye!
