Seyh Effendi Abdul Kerim was speaking about the Sunnat of the Companion’s to hold the hands to the heart when hearing Sayiddina Muhummad’s (Sallalahu’alaiheewassalam) name.
Seyh Effendi is saying that the tradition is rooted in the feelings the Companions had when hearing the Prophet’s (Sallalahu’alaiheewassalam) name. Also Seyh Effendi is also explaning the use of the gesture when dealing with others is still to preserve the Prophet’s (salallahu’alaiheewassalam) station.
