I’ve been curious about something. How many women are in the NY branch of this tariqa? Do they participate in the dhikr sessions? I can understand that I might not expect to hear them on the audio, and I can also understand why they may not be pictured, but I subsequently don’t feel that I have a picture of what the NYC / upstate community is like.
Is this a duff or drums being used brother? I am not judging, I am just curious to know. If it is a duff, then where can I purchase one of this nature?

Walaikumassalam,
At General Zikr where the different communities across Virginia, NJ, Upstate all get together you will see about 40% women and 60% men.
At NYC there are routinely 4-5 women (not a lot), but its also the city at night.

Sidi Omar, I don’t know him but I’ve heard of him.
