I was faced with some of the usual confusion that surrounds the Naksibendi tariqat online recently, and I was moved to clarify:
Much of the information that is online regarding Shaykh Maulana Nazim al Hakkani is from either overexcited mureeds who don’t know any better or those deliberately looking to manipulate Shaykh Maulana’s name in order to progress an agenda. For example, one site gives the illusion that Shaykh Maulana Nazim wrote the words presented, but it is in fact a book written by others. These same anonymous people don’t identify themselves or any source of any of the pages except via association of random pictures to text.
It is best to stick with those that offer clear audio or video of Shaykh Maulana, or transcribed Sohbets by trusted mureeds such as Khairiyah Siegel.
That is all. Everything else is a confusion surrounding Shaykh Maulana. It is the sign of the times that saintly people can be abused in this new way on this new medium, but it is an unfortunate fact and reality of the cruelty and rising tyranny in our generation. At the same time, nothing people say about their wariness or disregard for Shaykh Maulana hurts him in any way. But, as there are not so many saintly people like this available to us today, to hold a negative opinion is certainly dangerous as we know that Allah loves His Wali’s…
Shaykh Maulana does not write books and Shaykh Maulana does not visit websites or make web pages. He gives short talks, Sohbets. These are plain for everyone to hear. The most you will see is transcribed versions of those. Anyone taking a cursory look at those sohbets and the things available under such sites, which put his picture on the top of every page, will realize instantly that this is not the work of the same man.
Explaining to others why learning Tariqat by reading is a waste of time is not even necessary.
The best way to come to some respectible opinion is to listen to Shaykh Maulana or the other Shaykhs, online or otherwise.

Allah hu Akbar! I love you for the sake of Allah!
You are not an extreme sufi! I repeat, Yursil is not an extreme sufi! After reading this post, I have realized that many websites out there are not reliable at all. This a problem with the internet, too much information is not good.
I guess when other ‘ulema see these websites or other websites attributing to the Naqshabandi Haqqani tariqa, they think it is what the Shuyukh of the tariqa teach, but it is just zeolot members or even imposters.
I also did my own research and I have realized that there is a type of political differences between the shuyukh and that it doesn’t really matter what they are, becuase the main goal and essence of tasawwuf and the spiritual path is to attain the highest state and eventually entering Jannah and meeting Allah and the Beloved, peace and blessings be upon him.
May Allah (swt) forgive me for anythign I have said wrong now and in the past. Ameen.

I’m glad to help you clarify any doubts you might have had regarding Shaykh Maulana, but that is for your sake and benefit as I have no problem being an ‘extreme sufi’
I like to give most things important to me 110% or more so that probably does make me ‘extreme’ to some people. On the other hand it seems quite normal to me to live for my deen.

It is really unfortunate that we live in times where posts like this are needed, I agree with you on that. Shaykh Nazim is far from the only legitimate murshid who has had such doubts cast upon them. It never dims the light they shine however.

Thank you for clarifying matters. A very close person to me was looking negatively on Mawlana becaue one of these websites made ridiculuous claims about his abilities.

Sheiknazim.com and Sheiknazim2.com are both authentic websites. I was personally present when Moulana Sheikh Nazim and Sheikh Adnan approved the website.On the other hand it is on Moulana Sheikh Nazim;s instructions that this website functions.

Shaykh Maulana gives permission to a lot of people to do a lot of what they wish. All of which is coming from his kindly attitude and not wanting to interfere with people’s excitement and enthusiasm. To take that to be ‘authorization’ for every thing that is said on that website is a sign of a fundamental confusion and complete misunderstanding how Shaykh Maulana works.
Let us put aside the fact that the content of “Haqiqat Haqqani” which is most of what makes up that website is declared as not being authorized by sunnah.org and others.
