Is Dergah sort of equivalent to a Zawiya? Out here, a Dargah usually means the buildings and associated structures built around the final resting place of a notable scholar.

Yes indeed, just like a Zawiya. I think we use the term Mazar for what you use Dargah for!

Do you speak Turkish BTW?
I’ve been learning Turkish on the side, as well as just from exposure to Shaykh. I speak English and Urdu. There are many commonalities between Turkish and Urdu, which makes it easier for me
