Just ordered the Edirol R-09 Digital Recorder. This is supposed to be an excellent recorder, and will hopefully allow me to record lectures and dhikr like never before. One of the main selling points is its size to sound quality ratio. Although professional audio folk need to use external microphones, I am pretty excited from what I heard of the quality from the internal mic.
One of the main things is it is a stereo microphone, which is not an advanced feature at all, but is completely lacking from the n0rmal dictaphone-type devices most people use to record such things.
It will be excellent to record the Naqshbandi dhikr this Friday.
(Note R-09 is not released yet, it is on order but in the meantime I am using the Edirol R-1)

Must check this out. Even I was looking for good digital recorder. The Creative Zen is an all-in-one with recorder as well. But pretty steep. In other news, Can NOT WAIT, Insh’allah. Take Care and see you then.
