I plan to visit Shaykh Muhtar Holland within the next few weeks. If anyone has any questions for him IM me or comment here. I call him Shaykh not only because he has translated some of the most in-depth spiritual books the Muslim ummah has known, but also because he is very old. Please make dua for him and Shaykh Ruslan they contribute and have contributed much to this ummah.

Does Baz have any plans to do more of the “Living Scholars” series? I bought Call to the Believers when it came out (wonderful book).
If I had a chance to say something to Sidi Muhtar, I would just thank him for doing such a wonderfully thorough, clear, and poetic job translating the works of our esteemed shayukh. And I appreciate that he often leaves in a transliteration of the original Arabic term. Baz Publications puts out such intellgient, quality material.

since i just got introduced to respected Muhtar Holland’s work while seacrching for some helpful quality translations work in english on the mystical side of islam, i would like to ask if the respected author/translator has heard about my sheikh whose work needs quality translators. Sheikh ul Mukarram Hazrat Maulana Mohammad Akram Awan is currently the Ameer of sisila Naqshbandia Owaisiah in Manara, Pakistan and the order is spread all over the globe with millions of people getting the spiritual oath in the hands of the Prophet (SAW) at an unprecedented rate. alhamdullilah. This is because of the mercy of Allah (SWT) and our esteemed sheikh,otherwise the potential of people like myself and many others is very limited.
i seek the guidance of Muhtar Holland for translating my sheikh’s work. and i am sure that you would kindly convey this to him. You may also tell that the only person between him and shaikh abdul Qadir Jilani is my sheikh’s own sheikh Hazrat Allah Yar khan (RA) when they all seat in the court of the prophet (SAW).

I do not know of a Sufi Sheikh in Florida, but nowadays due to technology, location is not a problem in you benefitting from a Wali Allah. Our Sheikh is in Pakistan but he comes daily online to lead Zikr of the Heart. We also listen to his speeches in Urdu.
