Sheykh GF Haddad – New book

May 10, 2004  |  Personalities

Received an email that Shaykh Haddad has recently completed a new book. I couldn’t find it in any of the online stores that I usually would expect to find his work at. Shaykh Haddad works were a means by which Allah guided me away from the salafiyya. I have an enormous amount of respect for him. I will be glad to be one of the first owners of this book. If the contact information below is accurate, that should be soon, Inshahallah.

A review of the book:

The journey of Isra’ & Mi’raj certainly is a focal point in the history of Islam. The physical & spiritual experience was a major factor that discerned the true believers or people of Faith from passengers on the bandwagon of Islam. You may even declare that belief in the miraculous journey of Prophet Muhammad
(s.a.w) was the measurement of faith as exemplified by the Sahaba’s especially Sayyidina Abubakr As-Siddiq & Sayyidina Ali (r.a).

For centuries, scholars have debated over the nature of the Isra’ & Mi’raj but Muslims unite in their submission to the truth & justification behind the event. Verily, its’ significance is boundless with the institution of prayer & the Prophets meeting with Allah (s.w.t) beyond the Siddratul Muntahar amongst those established in the journey.

Shaykh Alawi Al-Maliki delivers an absorbing account of the Isra’ wal-Mi’raj that brings the reader almost into the story. Indeed it is a detailed narrative spiced with a simple commentary that attempts to reconcile various accounts or reports of the event that transpired. This provides a comprehensive reading that takes the reader on an experiential ride to feel the magic of Rasulallah’s journey. In short, it is very inspiring; exhilarating to the spiritual core!

  7. Dear Brother,
    Assalamuelaykum
for long time i was also of the opinion that the holy prophet (SAW) went ot heaven and got five times prayers
But once i confronted a non muslim who was telling me islam is religion based on fairy tales and pointed out this event. After lot of scrutinies http://www.ourbeacon.com came to conclusion that the prophet never went to heaven this is a gross fabricated story. We have to reason and reason well to prove. The holyprophet one night took his camel and migrated to medina the Quoran is talikng about this . i dont know how the people made a fairy tale of this event.
