I went to the bookstore last night, and spent some time re-reading about our history and how different rulers managed the empire.
I think that there is room in our Islamic literature for something akin to Adam Smith’s “Wealth of Nations”, which defined capitalism. The more I think about it, the more I think I want to be involved in such a project. I will ask Shaykh Haddad his opinion.

I read a few books on Islamic civilization, I’ll have to compile a better list later on what to read. In english, I found this book was pretty interesting:

The Muqaddima of Ibn Khaldun is pretty much a required text as well.
